I started this blog for my son Adrian. I want to post his special and unforgettable moments. I know his life will be a remarkable journey...

Adrian Paul or Adee as we came to call him was born at 11:19am via emergency C-Section last November 3, 2004. Emergency because for some reason only known to him, he decided to lie transverse in my womb after my water broke making a natural birth impossible. He's not due till 18th of the same month but he chose to be born on this day. And I have my own assumptions as to why- his father is leaving for Australia in 5 days he wanted to see his father before he leaves, or that he want his grandparents to remember his birhtday because my Papa's birthday is on the 4th of November or maybe he just wants to have the same birthday as the person who delivers him. Yes, my OB-GYN is celebrating her birthday at that time :)

When the nurse showed Adrian to me while I am still in the operating room, my first words were " Ba't ganyan ilong nyan?" Adrian was very puffy at that time and his face was very cheeky and red, and he was a very big baby, very fat. And I am vey happy, my baby was born very healthy! When I got settled in my room I had Adrian brought to me and I started feeding him. His latch on is very good. He almost got switched with another baby because the nurse accidentally gave another baby to me the second time around. The other baby looked just liked him except that it has more hair than Adee, I fed the other baby and noticed that he latched on weaker than before and so I wondered and I stared hard and somehow I just needed to look at the baby's name tag o his wrist. And I read another baby's name! Whew! that was close.

Adee is loved by all the people that cared for him while we were in the Philippines, he's a very cute, cuddly and cheeky baby. He sleeps well at night and is generally a well behaved baby. He rolled over from his back to his tummy when his three months old. When he was five months old we went to join their father in Australia. For Demo and me this marks a new beginning for our family, a wonderful beginning... or so we thought.
